If you sign in to Tixr using Sign in with Apple with Hide My Email enabled, Apple generates a private relay address on your behalf. While this protects your personal email, it can prevent important messages from reaching your inbox.
Important: Your backup email is used for communications only. All sign-in and account activity, including ticket transfers, will continue to go through your Apple relay address.
Adding a backup email during sign-in
When Tixr detects that you have signed in with Apple using Hide My Email, a prompt will appear before you are taken into the app or site. This is the fastest way to add a backup email.
Select Continue with Apple on the Tixr login screen.
Complete authentication through Apple ID.
When the Add a backup email prompt appears, enter your preferred email address in the field provided.
Click or tap Add Email.
You will be taken directly to your destination. The prompt will not appear again on future sign-ins.
Heads up: If you close the prompt or tap Skip, you can always add a backup email later from your profile. The prompt will continue to appear at sign-in until a backup email is saved.
Adding or updating a backup email from your profile
You can add or change your backup email at any time from your account settings.
Sign in to your Tixr account.
Navigate to Account > Profile.
Locate the Backup email field.
Click the edit icon next to the field.
In the Change backup email modal, enter your new address in the New backup email address field.
Re-enter the same address in the Confirm your backup email address field.
Click Update Backup Email.
A confirmation message will appear: "Your backup email has been successfully updated."
Tip: The Update Backup Email button will remain inactive until both fields contain matching, valid email addresses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a backup email to use Tixr? No. Adding a backup email is optional. However, if you sign in with Apple using Hide My Email, skipping it may result in important order information not reaching your inbox.
Will my Apple ID login change if I add a backup email? No. Your backup email is used only for communications like order confirmations, tickets, and support. You will continue to sign in with your Apple ID exactly as before.
I entered my email but the Add Email button is still grayed out. What should I check? The button activates only when a valid email format is detected. Double-check that the address includes an "@" and a domain (for example, [email protected]) and that there are no extra spaces.
Where is my backup email stored, and who can see it? Your backup email is stored on your Tixr profile and is used only to send you order-related communications and account support. It is visible to you under Account > Profile.
What if I previously skipped adding a backup email — can I still add one? Yes. You can add a backup email at any time from Account > Profile. The prompt will also continue to appear each time you sign in with Apple until a backup email has been saved.
I no longer use the email I saved as my backup. How do I update it? Go to Account > Profile and click the edit icon next to the Backup email field. Enter and confirm your new address, then click Update Backup Email.
