Apple's Hide My Email feature creates a private relay email address when you sign in with Apple. This can make it harder to find your tickets or access your Tixr account if you don't remember the relay address. This guide will help you locate your tickets and regain access to your account.
Understanding Apple Hide My Email
When you sign in with Apple, you may see the option to use Hide My Email. This creates a private relay email address like [email protected] instead of sharing your actual email with Tixr. Any messages sent to this relay address automatically forward to your real inbox.
Important: If you already have a Tixr account under your regular email, Hide My Email will create a second, separate account. These accounts cannot be merged because they use different email addresses.
Common issues with Hide My Email
Using Hide My Email can create a few challenges:
Separate account: Your new relay email creates a different account that doesn't include orders from your original account
Hard to remember: Relay addresses look like random characters, making them difficult to recall when signing in
Support complexity: If you contact support, it's harder for the team to locate your tickets without knowing your relay address
Spam filtering: Messages to relay addresses are commonly filtered to Junk or Spam folders
Tip: Check your Spam and Junk folders for emails from Tixr if you used Hide My Email. Mark these messages as not spam so future emails reach your inbox.
Finding your tickets if you used Hide My Email
If you're not sure which email you used or don't remember your relay address, you can still locate your tickets and access your account.
Checking your email for tickets
Look in your Inbox, Spam, and Junk folders for a ticket or order confirmation from Tixr. Apple relay emails often land in Spam folders automatically.
If you found your PDF ticket: You're all set. Use the PDF to scan in at the event. You don't need to access your Tixr account unless you want to manage your order or view additional details.
Signing in with Apple to access your account
If you need to access your account to view tickets, upgrade orders, manage payment plans, or update your details:
Go to tixr.com or open the Tixr app
Select Continue with Apple
Follow the prompts to authorize Tixr
Tixr will automatically log you in to the account that was created with your relay email.
Finding your relay email address on iPhone
If you need to know your relay email address to sign in manually:
Open Settings and tap your name at the top
Select Sign-In & Security
Tap Sign in with Apple
Find Tixr in the list of apps and tap it
View your relay email address
You can now use this email to sign in at tixr.com.
Tip: Take a screenshot of your relay email so you can easily find it next time you need to sign in.
Switching from Hide My Email to a personal email
If you want to replace your Apple relay email with your actual email address, you'll need to create a Tixr password first, then unlink your Apple account.
Important: The new email address cannot already be associated with another Tixr account. If it is, you'll need to use a different email address or contact support for help merging accounts.
Creating a Tixr password
You must create a password before unlinking Apple to ensure you don't lose access to your account.
Sign in using Continue with Apple
Go to Account → Profile
Select Create Password
Enter your new password and confirm it
Select Save
This gives you a secondary login method so you can still access your account after unlinking Apple.
Unlinking your Apple account
Once you've created a password:
Go to Account → Settings → Linked Accounts
Select Unlink Apple
Confirm you want to unlink
You can now sign in using your relay email and the password you just created.
Updating your email address
After unlinking Apple:
Go to Account → Profile
Update the email field to your preferred personal email address
Select Save
Your account will now use your personal email for all communications and sign-in. Your orders, tickets, and account history remain unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
Can I merge my Hide My Email account with my regular Tixr account?
No. These are separate accounts because they use different email addresses. Tixr cannot merge accounts automatically. To access tickets from both accounts, you'll need to sign in to each account separately using the appropriate email address.
What happens to my orders if I switch from Hide My Email to a personal email?
Nothing changes. All your orders, tickets, payment plans, and account details stay exactly the same. Only your login email address updates.
I can't find my relay email in Apple settings. What should I do?
Go to tixr.com and select Continue with Apple. Tixr will automatically sign you in using your relay email. Once signed in, you can view your email under Account → Profile.
Can I stop emails from forwarding to my inbox?
Yes, but this will prevent you from receiving important order updates and ticket information from Tixr. If you want to stop using the relay email, switch to a personal email address using the steps in this guide.
Will I receive order confirmations if I use Hide My Email?
Yes. Order confirmations and important messages sent to your relay email automatically forward to your actual inbox. Check your Junk or Spam folder if you don't see them in your main inbox.
I created a password but still can't unlink Apple. Why?
Sign out of Tixr completely, then sign back in using your relay email and the password you created. Once logged in with your password, you should be able to unlink Apple under Account → Settings → Linked Accounts.
