How to set up or update your resale payout information

Learn how to configure your payout account to receive payment when your resale tickets sell on Tixr.

When your ticket sells through Resale, funds are sent to your payout account 3–5 days after the event ends. To receive payment, you'll need:

  • A completed payout account with your banking information

  • A saved credit card on file in your Tixr account

Important: The credit card is used only if a refund needs to be processed after you've already received your payout. This is standard practice for ticket resale platforms and ensures refunds can be issued to buyers even after sellers have been paid.

How resale payments work

Payments are processed automatically after the event concludes:

  • Payouts are sent 3–5 days after the event ends

  • Funds are deposited directly to the banking account you configured in your Payouts tab

  • If a refund is required after you've been paid, Tixr processes it using the credit card saved to your account

Once your payout has been issued, funds cannot be withdrawn directly from your bank account. The saved credit card ensures refunds can still be processed for buyers when necessary.

Setting up your payout account for the first time

  1. Log in to your Tixr account at Tixr.com

  2. Click your initials in the top right corner

  3. Select Wallet from the dropdown menu

  4. Tap the Resale Listings badge on an event card, or open the event and tap the purple Listings button

  5. Tap Set Up Payout Account and follow the prompts to enter your banking information

Tip: If your tickets sell before you complete your payout setup, you'll receive an email reminder with instructions to finish connecting your account before payment can be issued.

Updating your existing payout information

  1. Log in to your Tixr account at Tixr.com

  2. Click your initials in the top right corner

  3. Select Account from the dropdown menu

  4. Click the Payouts tab on the left side

  5. Click Set Up Payout Account and follow the prompts to update your information

You can update your payout details at any time before the event ends.

  1. What happens if I forget to set up my payout account before my ticket sells?

    You'll receive an email reminder with a link to complete your payout setup. Your payment will be held until you finish configuring your account.

  2. Can I change my payout account after my ticket sells but before the event?

    Yes. You can update your payout details at any time before the event ends by accessing the Payouts tab in your account settings.

  3. Why do I need a saved credit card if I'm being paid to my bank account?

    The credit card is used exclusively for post-event refunds. This ensures that if a buyer needs a refund after you've already received your payout, the transaction can be processed without delays or complications.

  4. How long does it take to receive my payout?

    Payouts are sent 3–5 days after the event ends. Processing time may vary depending on your bank.

  5. What if I need to update my credit card on file?

    You can update your saved credit card information in your account settings under Payment Methods at any time.
