What is resale?
Resale lets you securely list your tickets for sale directly on the event page so another fan can buy them.
Not all events offer resale, and ticket eligibility, including what you can sell, when, and at what price, is determined by a mix of system rules, custom settings from the event organizer, and whether primary inventory is still available. Reserved seats can typically be listed right after purchase.
If your ticket is eligible, a Sell button will appear next to other options like Transfer and Upgrade. When you set your price, you'll immediately see your expected payout before confirming your listing.
Tickets stay in your Wallet and remain yours until they sell. You can still use or manage them anytime before they're purchased. By default, tickets are sold individually and buyers can choose how many they want to purchase.
Once your ticket sells:
Your original ticket is invalidated
A new order is automatically issued to the buyer
You'll be prompted to set up your payout account if you haven't already
Payouts are sent within 3β5 days after the event ends
Heads up: Not all events support resale. If you don't see the Sell button, your ticket may not be eligible for listing. You must be logged into your Tixr account on a mobile or desktop web browser to list and manage tickets. This functionality is not yet supported in the Tixr app.
Checking if your tickets are eligible for resale
Log in to your Tixr account
Click your initials in the top-right corner of Tixr.com
Select Wallet from the dropdown
Click the relevant event to open your Event Dashboard
Look for the Sell button
You will only see the Sell button if resale is enabled and you have a ticket that's currently eligible to sell.
Don't see the Sell option? That means resale isn't available for the event, your ticket isn't eligible, or the event organizer has restricted resale for that ticket type. Your ticket may still become eligible later, so check back periodically if you're hoping to list it.

Tips for successful listing
List early to give buyers more time to find your tickets. The sooner you list, the more visibility your tickets will have.
Price competitively but fairly. Consider the original face value and current demand when setting your price. Some events may include price caps or floors on listings.
Choose split settings strategically. If you're listing multiple tickets, consider whether buyers should be able to purchase them individually or if they should be sold together.
Set up your payout account in advance. This ensures prompt payment when your tickets sell.
Frequently asked questions
Why are none or only some of my tickets eligible for resale? Not all tickets are eligible for resale. You can resell a ticket if all of the following are true:
Resale is enabled on the event
Your ticket type isn't restricted by the event organizer
The ticket was purchased online (not at the Box Office)
You've purchased a reserved seat or a sold-out general admission ticket type
You are the original purchaser (the ticket was not transferred to you)
Your ticket is not part of a season package
You do not have a pending or incomplete payment plan
The ticket was sold at a single price level (no multiple prices like adult and child)
It was not purchased as an add-on in checkout
The ticket has not been cancelled or refunded
When will I receive my payout after my ticket sells? Payouts are sent within 3β5 days after the event ends. You must have your payout account set up to receive funds. If you haven't set it up yet, you'll be prompted to do so after your ticket sells.
What happens to my ticket while it's listed for sale? Your ticket remains active in your Wallet and you can still use it or manage it. Once it sells, your original ticket is automatically invalidated and a new order is issued to the buyer.
Can I change my listing price or cancel my listing? Yes. You can adjust your price or remove your listing entirely at any time before the ticket sells. Event organizers may set minimum or maximum price limits for resale listings.
Do I need to do anything after my ticket sells? If you haven't already set up your payout account, you'll be prompted to do so. Otherwise, your payout will be processed automatically within 3β5 days after the event ends. No additional action is required.
