What are credits?

Credits are a form of stored value issued by an event organizer and saved directly in your Tixr Account. You may receive credits from a refund, a returned ticket, or by purchasing a credit package, depending on what the organizer allows.

Each credit equals $1 in your local currency. You can use credits to buy tickets, merchandise, and other items from the same event organizer. Credits can be used on their own or combined with a credit card or payment plan at checkout.

Checking your credit balance

  1. Log in to your Tixr Account

  2. Select your initials in the top right corner, then choose Account

  3. Select Credits from the left navigation menu

  4. View your total balance, grouped by the event organizer that issued the credits

  5. Select any credit group to view details, including available value, expiration date, and full transaction history

Heads up: Credits are always grouped by the organizer that issued them. You cannot combine or transfer credits between different organizers.

Where you can use credits

Credits can only be used with the event organizer that issued them. To see where your credits apply:

  1. Open Credits in your Tixr Account

  2. Check the organizer name listed for each credit group

  3. Visit that organizer's event page to browse eligible events

You cannot transfer credits between organizers or use credits from one organizer to purchase tickets from another.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I use credits from one event organizer for another organizer's events?

No. Credits are tied to the organizer that issued them and can only be used for that organizer's events.

  2. Do credits expire?

Yes. Each credit group has an expiration date set by the event organizer. You can view expiration dates in the Credits section of your Tixr Account. Make sure to use your credits before they expire.

  3. How do I get credits?

You may receive credits in these ways, if enabled by the event organizer:

    • Purchasing a credit package from the event organizer

    • Receiving a refund as credits instead of a cash refund

    • Returning an eligible ticket or order for credits

  4. Can I combine credits with other payment methods?

Yes. You can use credits on their own or combine them with a credit card or payment plan at checkout.

  5. What happens if my purchase costs less than my credit balance?

The remaining credit balance stays in your Tixr Account and can be used for future purchases with the same event organizer.

  6. What happens if my credits expire?

Expired credits cannot be used or recovered. Event organizers set expiration dates, and Tixr cannot extend or reinstate expired credits. Check expiration dates regularly in your Credits section to avoid losing value.

  7. Can I transfer my credits to another person?

No. Credits are non-transferable and can only be used by the Tixr Account holder who received them.

  8. Can I get a cash refund for unused credits?

No. Credits can only be used to purchase items from the event organizer that issued them. They cannot be converted back to cash or refunded.
