Add your contactless ticket to your wallet

Learn how to verify, add, and use your contactless ticket for event entry using Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Updated this week

Contactless tickets use NFC (Near-Field Communication) technology for fast, secure entry. To use your ticket at the venue, you must add it to your device’s native wallet, Apple Wallet (iOS) or Google Wallet (Android).

We strongly recommend adding your ticket before arriving at the event. This is a one-time setup, and it helps ensure smooth entry at the gate.

Before you start: confirm your ticket is contactless delivery

Check your order confirmation email or order details in your Tixr account. If the delivery method shows "contactless," you must add it to your device wallet to enter.

Add your contactless ticket to your wallet

Tickets with a contactless delivery method must be added to your wallet before they can be scanned.

  1. On your mobile device, log in to your Tixr account using the Tixr app or by visiting tixr.com.

  2. Open your Tixr Wallet to view your tickets.

  3. Tap Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet.

  4. If you have multiple tickets, repeat this process for each ticket (tickets must be added individually).

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish adding the ticket.

Once your ticket is added to your wallet, you may receive push notifications if there are important updates or changes to the event.

Important: You’ll need an internet connection (WiFi or cellular data) to add the ticket to your wallet. After it’s added, you can scan it without WiFi.

Use your contactless ticket at the event

On the day of the event, your ticket may appear automatically on your lock screen if:

  • Location services are enabled, and

  • You’re near the event entrance

If it doesn’t appear automatically:

  1. Open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet on your device.

  2. Select your event ticket.

  3. Hold your phone near the NFC reader.

  4. Wait for staff to confirm your ticket is validated, then proceed inside.

Tip: Make sure your phone is charged before you arrive. Your ticket can’t be scanned if your device is powered off. screen

  2. Do I have to add my contactless tickets to my device wallet?

Yes. Adding contactless tickets to your native wallet is required, it’s the only way to scan them for entry.

Open Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and confirm the ticket appears there. If the ticket was added successfully, you may also receive push notifications for important event updates or changes.

We recommend adding your ticket at least 24 hours before the event. You’ll need an active WiFi or cellular data connection to complete this process, and adding the ticket is required for entry.
