Tixr is the ticketing platform for live events, but refund policies are always set by the event organizer.
This means eligibility, deadlines, and refund methods vary by event, and Tixr must follow those rules without exception.
Heads up: Not all events offer refunds or returns for credit. Availability is determined by the event organizer.
Refunds for Canceled or Rescheduled Events
If your event is canceled, all ticket holders will receive an email from the event organizer or Tixr with next steps.
This message will explain how to request a refund (if action is needed) or confirm if it will be processed automatically.
If your event is rescheduled, your tickets remain valid for the new date.
You’ll receive an email explaining whether refunds are available if you can’t attend the new date.
For full details, see What Happens When an Event Is Canceled or Rescheduled.
Requesting a Refund or Credit for Any Other Reason
If your event has not been canceled or rescheduled but you’d still like to request a refund, start by checking whether your ticket qualifies.
Step 1. Check if Refunds Are Allowed
Refund eligibility depends on the event organizer. You can confirm by:
Visiting the event page where you purchased your ticket and scrolling to the Terms section.
Checking your PDF ticket, where refund and transfer policies are listed in the bottom right corner.
If the Terms say refunds are not available, you may still have another option.
Step 2. Check if Your Ticket Is Returnable for Credit
Some events allow you to return your ticket for Tixr Credit, which can be used toward another event on Tixr.
To see if this option is available, follow the steps in How to Return Your Ticket for Credit.
Step 3. Contact the Event Organizer
If refunds are listed as available:
Go to the event page where you purchased your ticket.
Scroll to the Contact section.
Use the provided organizer email address to submit your refund request.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I receive my refund on a different card than the one I used?
No. Refunds are always issued to the original payment method. If your card was replaced or canceled, your bank will route the funds to your new account or contact you directly.
2. I used a payment plan. Will my refund come in installments?
Yes. Refunds for payment plan orders are processed in the same installment schedule as your original payments. You’ll usually see the full refund within 10 business days.
3. How will I know when my refund has been processed?
You’ll receive a confirmation email once your refund is processed.
If you don’t see it:
Check your spam or junk folder.
Make sure you’re checking the same email address tied to your Tixr order.
4. My refund was processed, but I haven’t received the money yet. What should I do?
Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.
If it’s been longer, contact your bank for the most up-to-date status.
