How to Transfer a Ticket

Learn how to transfer your Tixr tickets to someone else using the desktop site or mobile app.

Want to send your tickets to a friend or family member? You can easily transfer tickets through your Tixr account - no payment required.

Transfers are intended for sharing tickets with another person at no cost.

If you’re looking to sell your ticket, learn how to list it on Tixr’s secure Resale marketplace instead.

Heads up: Not all events allow fan-to-fan transfers. The availability of ticket transfers is determined by the event organizer. If you don’t see the option, it may not be offered for your event.

Steps to Transfer Your Tickets

Step 1. Log in to your Tixr account on Tixr.com or open the Tixr mobile app and log in using your account credentials.

Step 2. Access your Wallet

  • On Web: Click your initials in the top right corner, then select Wallet from the dropdown menu.

  • On Mobile: Tap Wallet in the bottom menu.

Step 3. Find the event that includes the ticket you’d like to transfer and open the event card.

Step 4. Tap or click “Transfer”. The Transfer button will only appear if your tickets are eligible for transfer.

Step 5. Select one or more tickets from your order, then click Continue or Send.

Step 6. Enter the recipient’s email address. Make sure the email is correct - the transfer can only be accepted from the address you enter.

Step 7. Tap or click Complete Transfer. The recipient will receive an email invitation to accept the tickets.

What Happens Next?

The recipient must accept the transfer to complete the process. Once accepted, the tickets move to their Tixr account, and you’ll no longer have access to them.

Having Trouble Transferring Tickets?

  • Transfer not showing? The event organizer may have disabled transfers.

  • On a payment plan? Tickets can only be transferred once the plan is fully paid off.

  • Recipient didn’t receive the email? Have them check their spam or junk folder.

  • Sent to the wrong address? Cancel the pending transfer in your Wallet and resend it to the correct email.
