How To Return a Ticket That Was Transferred To You

Learn how to return a ticket that was transferred to you through Tixr.

If someone sent you a ticket but you can’t attend the event, you can easily return the ticket to the original sender. Once returned, the ticket is removed from your Wallet and becomes available again to the original owner.

Heads up: You can only return tickets that were transferred to you. Purchased tickets can’t be returned this way.

Steps to Return a Transferred Ticket

Step 1. Log in to your Tixr account.

Step 2. Access your Wallet:

  • On Web Browser: Click your initials in the upper right corner, then select Wallet from the dropdown menu.

  • On Mobile App: Tap Wallet in the bottom menu.

Step 3. Find the event and order that includes the transferred ticket you want to return.

Step 4. Click Order Details.

Step 5. Tap or click Return Item from the details page.

Step 6. Confirm the return to send the ticket back to the original owner.

Note: Returning a transferred ticket is final. You’ll no longer have access once it’s returned.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why don’t I see the “Return Item” option?

  • Only tickets that were transferred to you can be returned.

  • If the ticket was purchased directly or is part of a package, you won’t see the Return Item button.

  • Make sure you’re viewing the event on the same account where the transfer was accepted.

2. Can I return a ticket after the event starts?

No. Once the event has begun, transfers and returns are locked.

3. What happens after I return the ticket?

The original sender will see the ticket reappear in their Wallet. You’ll no longer have access to it or be able to reaccept it unless they send a new transfer.
