Where Do I Get a Promo Code
Promo codes are:
Shared directly by the event organizer
Often included in marketing emails, social posts, or fan clubs
Not generated by Tixr - Tixr does not offer general promo codes or discounts
Steps to Use a Promo Code During Checkout
Step 1. Select your tickets and proceed to the checkout page.
Step 2. Under your order total, look for the field labeled Enter promo code.
Step 3. Paste or type your code into the box.
Step 4. The discount will appear instantly before you confirm your order.
Important: Promo codes must be applied before completing your order. They can’t be added after checkout.
Knowing the Difference Between Access (Presale) Codes and Promo (Discount) Codes
Access and promo codes look similar but serve different purposes:
Access Code: Unlocks hidden or presale tickets so they can be purchased.
Promo Code: Applies a discount or special offer during checkout.
If you enter an access code in the promo code field, the system will show an error because it’s expecting a discount code, not an unlock code.
Tip: Always check that you’re entering your code in the correct field to avoid errors.
What to Do if Your Promo Code Isn’t Working
If your promo code doesn’t apply or shows an error message, try these steps:
1. Double-check for typos.
Common mix-ups include I (capital i) vs 1 (one) and O (capital o) vs 0 (zero).
Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the code.
2. Copy and paste the code directly.
This helps avoid case sensitivity or formatting errors.
3. Confirm you’re using a promo code, not an access code.
Access codes unlock hidden tickets, while promo codes apply discounts. They aren’t interchangeable.
4. Contact the event organizer if it still doesn’t work.
The organizer manages promo codes and can confirm if the code is valid or expired.
