How To Change the Name On Your Tickets

Learn how to update the name on your Tixr tickets for events that allow attendee name changes.

If the person attending the event has changed, some organizers allow you to edit the name on your ticket directly in your Tixr Wallet.

This helps ensure a smooth check-in experience, especially for events that verify attendee names at entry.

Heads up: Not all events allow name changes. If you don’t see the Edit option, that event’s organizer has disabled attendee name updates.

Steps to Update the Name on Your Tickets

Step 1. Log in to your Tixr account.

Step 2. Go to your Wallet:

  • On Web Browser: Click your initials in the top-right corner, then select Wallet from the dropdown.

  • On Mobile App: Tap Wallet in the bottom menu.

Step 3. Find the event and open the related order.

Step 4. Click Order Details.

Step 5. Scroll down to the list of tickets and locate the ticket you want to update.

Step 6. Click or tap Edit under Attendee Name.

Step 7. Enter the new name and confirm your changes.

Once saved, the updated name will appear on your ticket immediately.

1. What if I don’t see the Edit option?

That means the event organizer has disabled name changes. You can check the event page for their policy or contact the organizer directly.

2. Can I change the name after transferring the ticket?

No. Once a ticket has been transferred, only the new owner can manage or update it.

3. Will I get a new ticket after changing the name?

No. The same ticket updates automatically in your Wallet and retains the same QR code.

4. Need to send your ticket to someone else instead?
