Learn how to recognize when upgrades are available and move to better seats or premium sections through your Tixr Wallet.
Ticket upgrades let you move to better seats, premium sections, or higher access levels when your event organizer makes them available. You can upgrade directly from your Wallet in just a few steps.
Heads up: Upgrades are controlled by event organizers. If you don't see an upgrade option, it means upgrades aren't currently available for your event or ticket type.
Upgrading your ticket
Log in to your Tixr account
Access your Wallet:
On web browser: Click your initials in the upper right corner, then select Wallet from the dropdown menu
On mobile app: Tap Wallet in the bottom menu
Find your event in your Wallet
Look for the Upgrade button on your event card (only visible when upgrades are available)
Select the tickets you want to upgrade
Review the list of eligible tickets
Click See Available Upgrades
Choose your new tickets and complete checkout
Once your purchase is complete, your upgraded tickets will replace your original ones automatically. You'll see the updated tickets in your Wallet immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see the option to upgrade my ticket?
Upgrades must be enabled by the event organizer. You'll see an Upgrade Available label on your event card in your Wallet when the feature is active. If you don't see a label or button, upgrades aren't currently being offered for that event.
Can I upgrade if I'm on a payment plan?
Orders with active payment plans can't be upgraded until the plan is paid in full. Once you complete your final payment, check your Wallet again to see if upgrades are available for your event.
What happens to my original tickets after I upgrade?
Your original tickets are automatically replaced with your new upgraded tickets. You don't need to do anything, the updated tickets will appear in your Wallet right away.
Can I upgrade just some of my tickets, or do I have to upgrade all of them?
You can choose which tickets to upgrade. During the upgrade process, you'll see a list of eligible tickets and can select only the ones you want to move to a better section or seat.
How long do I have to upgrade my tickets?
Upgrade availability depends on the event organizer. Upgrades may be offered for a limited time or while premium inventory is available. If you're interested in upgrading, check your Wallet regularly as availability can change.
