How to Update or Cancel Your Waitlist Order

Learn how to change your payment method or expiration date, or cancel your Waitlist request if you no longer want to wait for tickets.

Once you’ve joined a Waitlist, you can’t change the ticket type or quantity. However, you can update your expiration date or payment method, or cancel your Waitlist order entirely if needed.

Not all events offer a Waitlist. If you don’t see this option on your event page, it means the organizer has not enabled it.

Steps to Update Your Waitlist Order

Step 1. Log in to your Tixr account.

Step 2. Click your initials in the top-right corner and select Wallet.

Step 3. Click the event card tied to your Waitlist order.

Step 4. Above the ticket list, click Manage Waitlist Order.

Step 5. Update your expiration date or payment method.

Step 6. Select Save Changes to confirm your updates.

Note: If your Waitlist order has already been fulfilled, it can’t be changed or canceled.

Steps to Cancel a Waitlist Order

You can cancel your Waitlist request anytime before it’s fulfilled. Once canceled, your place in line is released.

Step 1. Follow the same steps above to open the Manage Waitlist Order screen.

Step 2. Scroll to the bottom and click Leave Waitlist.

Step 3. Confirm your cancellation. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your order has been removed.

Note: If the Waitlist is still open, you can rejoin later, but your new request will start at the bottom of the queue.

1. What happens if my card gets declined?

Your spot is released, and the tickets are offered to the next person in line. You’ll receive a cancellation email.

2. Can I see my spot in line?

No. Waitlist positions aren’t visible, and the process is fully automated.

3. Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Tixr and our payment processors only store the last four digits of your card for identification. All payment information is encrypted and protected.
