If your credit card is about to expire, you've gotten a new card, or you've changed your mind about attending, you can update or cancel your waitlist order at any time before tickets are allocated to you.
Once you've joined a waitlist, you can't change the ticket type or quantity you originally selected. However, you can update your expiration date or payment method, or cancel your waitlist order entirely if needed.
Heads up: Not all events offer a waitlist. If you don't see this option on your event page, the organizer has not enabled it for this event.
Updating your waitlist order
Log in to your Tixr account.
Click your initials in the top-right corner and select Wallet.
Click the event card tied to your waitlist order.
Above the ticket list, click Manage Waitlist Order.
Update your expiration date or payment method as needed.
Select Save Changes to confirm your updates.
Updating your payment method will not affect your place in line. Your waitlist position remains secure while you make changes.
Important: If your waitlist order has already been fulfilled, it can't be changed or canceled.
Canceling a waitlist order
You can cancel your waitlist request anytime before it's fulfilled. Once canceled, your place in line is released to other fans.
Follow the same steps above to open the Manage Waitlist Order screen.
Scroll to the bottom and click Leave Waitlist.
Confirm your cancellation. You'll receive a confirmation email once your order has been removed.
Heads up: If the waitlist is still open, you can rejoin later, but you'll start at the end of the line behind current waitlist members.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if my card gets declined when tickets become available?
Your spot is released, and the tickets are offered to the next person in line. You'll receive a cancellation email letting you know your payment didn't go through.
Can I see my spot in line?
No. Waitlist positions aren't visible to maintain fairness, and the allocation process is fully automated.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Tixr and our payment processors only store the last four digits of your card for identification. All payment information is encrypted and protected.
What if my card expires before I get tickets?
Update your payment method as soon as you receive a new card. You can change your card information at any time from the Manage Waitlist Order screen without losing your place in line.
Will I lose my spot if I update my payment method or expiration date?
No. Updating your payment details does not affect your position in the waitlist. Your spot remains exactly where it was before you made changes.
Can I change the ticket type or quantity after joining the waitlist?
No. Once you've joined a waitlist, the ticket type and quantity are locked. If you need different tickets, you'll need to cancel your current waitlist order and join again with your preferred selection, though you'll rejoin at the end of the line.
Can I update my waitlist order from the mobile app?
Yes. The same steps apply whether you're using the Tixr mobile app or website. Log in, go to your Wallet, select the event, and click Manage Waitlist Order.
How long does my waitlist order stay active?
Your waitlist order remains active until the expiration date you set when joining. You can update this expiration date at any time from the Manage Waitlist Order screen before your order is fulfilled.
